All-inclusive fee of £200
The website
We see the process of building a website very much as a collaborative venture.
You will be responsible for providing the actual wording of your web pages, since you know your practice better than we do, but we can give advice regarding structure and presentation. We will also proof-read your copy to ensure that it reads well and is grammatically correct with no spelling mistakes. You may incorporate up to three of your own graphics, which may include a logo, a photograph of yourself and/or your counselling room. We will communicate with you via a series of emails to ensure that your website is to your satisfaction before it goes live.
The timeframe from ordering your website to implementation is usually between 1 and 3 weeks, depending largely on how quickly you can provide your material.
Domain name
Included in your package is a .co.uk domain name, which may be your own name or your business name. If you chose the domain name johnsmithcounselling.co.uk, your website address would be www.johnsmithcounselling.co.uk and you would be able to choose up to 5 email addresses, eg enquiries@johnsmithcounselling.co.uk.
Hosting and maintenance
The first year's hosting and maintenance is included in your package. Hosting is on high-performance servers, ensuring that your clients can access your site quickly. Maintenance includes any textual and small graphical changes you may wish to make to your site once it has gone live. Please note that other changes, such as additional pages, are subject to a small additional fee, depending on the complexity of your request.
Subsequent years' hosting/maintenance/domain renewal fees will be in the region of £50 per year.
Search Engine Optimisation and Publicising your site
We will optimise your site for the major search engines such as Google and Yahoo. Please note, however, that it will take time for the search engines to pick up your website and that it is not possible to guarantee a place on the first page. To ensure that your website works for you as quickly as possible, we will give advice on pay-per-click advertising and directories which effectively drive prospective clients to your website.
